To me, it's because it makes literally everything look like a soap opera. I can 1000% see the difference and it annoys the fuck out of me when it's turned on.

What does it DO though? Like, every time it's explained, people are like 'It makes it look wrong!' but it's obviously doing SOMETHING and I don't know what that thing is. Maybe I just watch stuff that needs it? I cannot tell the difference when it's on or off so I just leave it on.
