It adds fake frames to your TV show/movie/etc. With something like sports, it may not really be too noticeable. But most TV shows are shot at 24 fps. So the TV inserts frames to make it appear to be 60 frames. You're not alone in saying you don't see a difference, but us who do, 100000% do.

So like, that one Game of Thrones episode everyone hates cuz it's dark and impossible to see anything. Is motion smoothing gonna make that clearer because it's adding frames or is motion smoothing the cause of that looking like shit? Or is that not gonna do shit either way?
