I want everyone who considers themselves opposed fascism and capitalism to understand something: when Hitler took power, the liberals handed him the reins. Then, for decades after, they placed sole blame for his rise on the Communists. They blamed them for not doing enough to fight the Nazis.

When you study the rise of the Third Reich you come across valid criticisms of the KPD and the Comintern in failing to predict their rise. But the SPD threw their vote behind Hindenburg, who appointed Hitler. They're the ones who brought him in. Yet the KPD are solely to blame in history books.
