Maybe the fluidity you mention functions also for attempts to speak of epiphany? Ancient dances of stardust throwing off chards of goofy predication - for which there's no warrant to take any too damn seriously, and yet a hint something important is said indirectly.

But of course, that's her point. The only reason to box grandness and epiphany into the small word "god" is to reach for the social acceptability of being a believer.
