Surely you don't believe that only one woman has called Alito's wife a count. I'd bet millions of women have noticed that fact.

Even worse, the AI is hallucinating. Biden isn't the one with a tangerine glow to him. That's Donald ("Agent Orange") Trump.

The US should be doing a lot more than it is, but Europe should be spending more on this than the US. Putin is waging war in Europe, not North America. Put on your big-boy pants and start acting like you'd prefer not to be enslavedby a genocidal dictator.

Finally, no matter what your intentions, your attacks on Biden, lack of comment on Trump's obvious mental deficits, and defeatism about the war all aid the causes of Trump & Putin. If that's the best you can do, I have a friendly suggestion: Perhaps you should go fuck yourself. 6/6

As for Biden, have you seen Trump speak? When he's not reading from a teleprompter, he almost never finishes a sentence & his reasoning is rarely rational. Biden having trouble expressing himself when tired & troubled by his speech impediment isn't great, but it's a fuck-ton better than Trump. 5/n

Russia is running out of artillery barrels, operational armor & almost everything else needed to fight a war. It's not the mighty & unstoppable bear some imagine. It's a large poor country, riddled with corruption & incompetent leadership that can buy dual-use items, but almost no weapons. 4/n

He might shake them down for a quid pro quo of some kind, but if Trump gets a second term, corruption will be federal policy, so that shouldn't be a problem. The weapons are there for Europe to buy, while Russia can only buy weapons from North Korea and Iran. 3/n

Money matters and the nations supporting Ukraine have a shit-ton of it without including the US. There are arms-makers all over the planet who aren't selling to Russia because of sanctions who'd be delighted to sell to Europe & Trump wouldn't prevent US arms-makers from selling to Europe. 2/n

Europe alone can support Ukraine to defeat Russia if it does one thing: Try. They need to do things that most haven't done yet, like issuing war bonds, cutting other spending, raising taxes, buying weapons made outside their own nations & even outside Europe, sending warplanes & troops, etc. 1/n

Side rant: People who head councils, boards, committees, etc., leading a group that acts by votin& having no individual executive authority should be called the "chair" of the body, not a president. Yes, I know that chairs "preside" over boards & the US Senate has a president, but that's archaic.

Why has he suddenly started jetting around the world talking up his stupid surrender plan right after Hungary took over the presidency of the Council of Europe? Obviously, he can't claim to speak for Europe, but is he hoping people in Hungary or Russia will think he is?

"Beluga caviar" only triggers thoughts of sturgeon for me, but if you said you caught "a Beluga," I'd think you caught a whale. And that's not just because whales don't lay 1000s of tiny eggs. I think I never knew that was the name for a variety of sturgeon, not just for a variety of sturgeon caviar

What nation says it's weapons can't be used to target Russian invaders in Ukraine? I assume he's talking about the US, but I've never heard of the US making parts of Ukraine off-limits.

You sound like you're spouting Kremlin talking points you saw on RT. False accusations against Biden don't help🇺🇦& there's nothing delusional about thinking🇺🇦-with support of allies with>30x🇷🇺's GDP-can defeat it. 🇷🇺has so little intact armor, it uses motorcycles instead. That's what losing looks like.

Russia doesn't care that we've all see the parts of its cruise missile in the wreckage. I will just continue drenching us with its firehose of falsehood. If anybody is confused enough to give up on figuring out what the truth is, the Kremlin considers that a victory.

Does France want to offer Ukraine full membership now with no exclusion from article 5 for lands currently controlled by Russia and immediately go to war with Russia? I think it's a great idea, butt I don't think the leader of any NATO nation agrees with me.

A complete trade embargo backed up by seizure and sale of all ships sailing to and from Russian ports (aka "piracy") might do the trick. So might NATO warplanes and air defense units joining the fight.

*its Stupid autocorrect changes "its" to "it's" every time. Why are there no options to never change a correctly spelled word into another word autocorrect thinks is more likely, never add an apostrophe, or never replace a word with a proper name if the user didn't capitalize the 1st letter?

The plausibility of his lies is of no importance to him. "The Russian Federation does not hit civilian targets in Ukraine, only military targets"? The only relation that statement has to the truth is being it's opposite. There's photo/video proof the hospital was hit by a Russianc ruise missile.

At least we have North Atlantic coasts. Probably more importantly, Canada &-until recently-the US had a history of stable government without radical swings in foreign policy. I don't think Argentina has that. At some point, I should read an article about this to know what Argentina is suggesting.

I know. I almost always say 1/n and when I don't I almost never finish in whatever numberI said. And, for some reason, I insist on ending with the original number like a kid who's given you until the count of 3 to do something: "1, 2, 2-1/2, 2-3/4...2-1023/1024ths, etc."

I haven't had a reply yet. I'll let you know if she ever explains how her article could possibly be confused with responsible journalism & why it's OK to assume the truth of claims that would attract a lot of interest if they were true. I'm not holding my breath. 2.0/2 (I should always say "1/n")

Assuming 1 of 2 conflicting reports is true without evidence the other is implausible is bad journalism. Doing it on an issue where the report-true or not-would likely undermine 1 side in an election is grossly irresponsible. I asked the reporter why her article stated a disputed claim as fact 1.9/2

You can report a disputed claim as a disputed claim, but that's not what NYT did. They chose to report the allegation as a fact and note the denial, which is not the same thing. If they had proof the claim was accurate, they would have said so. 1.8/2

If a source says Biden had a conversation & his office says he didn't, you can certainly run an article about what the source told you, note the denial, & offer indications the source is reliable. But, without some basis for certainty, you can't report what the source said as a fact. 1.75/2

I was disgusted when NYT ran a story under the headline (paraphrasing) "Biden Talking to Close Confidantes About Withdrawing." The 1st sentence of the article also assumed the truth of their source's report that such conversations had occurred. Then the second noted the White House's denial. 1.5/2

I generally oppose all attacks on legitimate ("mainstream") news media as weakening trust in legitimate news sources ALWAYS helps authoritarians convince people that there are no sources that can be trusted, so they can spread their lies to fuel the hate they feed on, BUT 1/2

Notes: 1-The Mediazona & Economist estimates & at least some of the others are limited to Russian losses, not including Ukrainians recruited by Russia. 2-106k dead+3x more injured=424k & 140k+4x140k=700k. Even a more sophisticated estimate of variance can't give you 728k. 462-728k is wrong.

Right. He used the vague term "eliminated" that used in Ukrainian public releases of its casualty methods and you translated that to dead. I'm glad we're in agreement.

I've pointed out before,-including in arguing with you-that Ukraine's estimates are consistent with & perhaps on the conservative side of other estimates of total Russian casualties & are grossly inconsistent with estimates of Russian deaths. You can't get 700k dead out of any of these estimates 5/n

Mark Chadborn is right that the Mediazona and Economist reporting is consistent with the estimates published daily by the general staff of Ukraine's MoD of Russian casualties (551k), which-for understandable propaganda purposes-it reports vaguely as those "eliminated" or "liquidated." 4/n

Mark Chadborn reported that as up to 728k "eliminated." Out of Mediazona, US intelligence, UK intelligence, Ukraine's MoD, the analysts included in the Economist's table of KIA & WIA estimmates, Mark Chadborn, you, and me, only one has claimed anything close to 700k dead Russian soldiers: You. 3/n

The Economist DID cite prior Pentagon estimates as a basis for assuming that numbers of Russian soldiers wounded would be 3-4 times the number killed & used that to extrapolate from Mediazona's estimate of deaths to make a crude estimate of 462-728k casualties. 2/n

The Economist published Mediazona's estimate of 106-140k dead. It did not estimate over 700k dead, not did it estimate the number "eliminated," a vague word sometimes used to report casualty estimates in the hope that some will assume it means killed. 1/n

Russia will be ejectefbfrom Ukraine in a heartbeat when our warplanes join the fight over Ukraine, sanctions are replaced with seizure & sale of all ships going to our from Russian ports, & Tomohawks rain on bases that launch attacks on Ukraine.

That's fantasy. Ukraine estimates Russian casualties of 551k, meaning far fewer deaths & Mediazona's estimate of deaths is 104-120k, but you think actually almost 700k have died, suggesting something like 2M casualties? Why would Ukraine's casualty estimates be only about 1/4 of the real total?

Making predictions like that helps Trump (and Putin). Some pills showed Biden' s position improving after the debate. There's no basis to assume Trump will win, even with the Supreme Court's nakedly partisan efforts at assistance.
