Winning a civil war would be losing. Even if you survive uninjured, your job is probably gone, the supply chain is broken, our reputation tattered, and new alliances and allegiances form to move around us. We would lose 50% GDP and take years upon years to recover as a best case scenario, I bet.

And people don’t think about the fact that you absolutely have not somehow killed every person on “the other side”. They’re still there. You may have overpowered them for a second but now “your side” has to implement oppressive laws to keep the “insurrectionists” down

Sure never mind the 5 million people that die in direct combat, and the other 25 million that die from crime/displacement/hunger/disease from the supply chain disruptions. Our food system literally can't survive that kind of shock, and once we have to rely on primarily on local agriculture... yikes
