The #Riccardiana library was founded in 1659 in the #MedicisRiccardi palace in #Florence. It is a long, narrow room with walls covered to the full height with #books. Its collection consists of European works from the 16th to the 18th century. The ceiling is decorated with frescoes.

The Library of the Benedictine Abbey of Melk in Austria was founded in the 11th century. Its catalog contains 85,000 volumes, including 2,850 manuscripts and incunabula. The frescoes on the ceiling were created by Austrian Baroque painter Paul Troger.
