continually fascinated by my library's decision to put all graphic novels together in the high school section with no curation, so Junji Ito is next to both pastel teen romances and ponderous memoirs
My library separates mostly in a way that makes sense but doesn't know what to do with superhero comics. About half in teen and half in adult, seemingly at random. Though I'm old enough to remember when libraries never had comics.
And this is a vast improvement on my childhood, when literally all comic books were shelved together in children's, and whoever was buying was using a similar metric, so yeah, Banana Fish was an interesting read at age 11!
