It shouldn’t require this much advocacy to get Democratic committee chairs to hold Republican justices accountable. Sometimes it takes the threat of a primary challenge.

Some people take the wrong lessons from history. I think Dick Durbin believes the Republican spin that Clinton's impeachment was payback for investigating the real crimes of Iran-Contra, that McConnell's SC war gaming was payback for Bork. I believes he feels we should not provoke them. He's wrong.

honestly this should be the last term for every one of this generation’s dems. they’ve had plenty long runs but now it’s time for a concerted effort to push them out if they won’t retire on their own. like there’s no reason for durbin to be on the ballot in ‘26
