James Zogby put out a proposal for selecting a new nominee and it's quite clarifying to see something on paper.
- Start with ~400 DNC members, 98% of whom voters have never heard of.
- TV debates! Exciting!

Fun challenge: try to find a list of all current DNC members or DNC members for your state and how they were elected. There's actually nothing mysterious about the process, but it's pretty in the weeds and the parties generally don't publicize any of it outside meetings.
