I was thinking just quality of work honestly. ADV seems the type of place in the 90s/early 00s where if you get in, you're in because they had an incredibly small pool. Even if it was just walla or other "Additional Voices".

I think it's too hard to say why he didn't do more work. His two jobs were nine years apart. That sounds to me like a guy who went in to pick up some quick work and then went back to something more lucrative in the meantime because anime doesn't pay shit, certainly not 1995 Houston ADV.
