This book is an excellent read, but my academic history background has me wanting to check footnotes that aren't there. E-mailed the author to talk about his notes. We've set up some time to talk in the next few weeks. This baseball research crowd is pretty awesome.

Appreciate your presence and willingness to face legitimate criticism from the Bsky crowd. The article was somewhat predictable for those that know CFB, but maybe not for those that don't. All that to say, is there a case for a school that replaced a coach in the summer before a championship year?

Weird UGA started spitting on people the year I graduated. Hoping the good cheer of Bsky can move us up! For what it's worth, I was almost a Bama grad, but Ole Miss gave me more money for grad school. Also, Bama was in the Shula era, so didn't seem like a solid football future. Alas.
