When I read your initial one, not knowing you had clerked, I was like "but the engagement ring verse is better!" Yeah, a lot of people went down in that crazy path of dominoes.

Fun fact: I didn’t clerk. He had taught a trial methods course I did in law school and basically became my legal godfather afterwards. Used to be invited to his chambers holiday party every year, he put in calls for me when I was looking for jobs, worked on stuff with me.
