As others mentioned, one is a noun, the other a verb. I think of it in alphabetical order. A comes before E, and action comes before result.

I'm no lawyer, but would there also be a liability issue with a lawyer using ai? Say a lawyer writes a contract with the help of ai. The client signs it, but then the lawyer realizes it contains language he or she wasn't expecting, detrimental to the client. How would this be resolved?

It definitely goes the other way as well. I once rented a house made in the 50s. A couple months later, an instructor told me homes in the 50s didn't have much insulation since heating oil was cheap. It was definitely expensive to heat in winter.

To your point, a big part of this is design. Modern homes are designed to use ac when it's hot. We could design homes that are less demanding of that system, and that's an issue for the homebuilders.
