I'm just gonna say it: At this point the way some ppl push for Halloween is like when ppl pushed bacon into everything as the end all be all. Just...it's ok to like a thing without demanding it be all the time everywhere, I promise. You'll end up making everyone else hate the thing.
Also - one can be into horror etc year round without insisting on the specific aesthetics of a celebration very much tied to autumn. Personally I divide up my spookies seasonally - summertime horror is distinct from Halloween-season horror, which can be different from winter horror, etc.
dunno if it's exactly what you're thinking, but my gothling has a lot of Halloween stuff and it's less to do with the holiday and more to do with the fact that she likes spooky stuff and I like buying stuff on clearance. Year round spooky isn't 70% off on Nov. 1.
