This could be Gerronema strombodes at least from appearance but would depend on your region; found throughout southern US east of Texas. Neat find!

Could mean a few different things, and there are fixes. A good computer tech will be able to get your data even if the hard drive is shot. I've had numerous computers blow up on me over the years and never lost any of the data.

Thanks Larry, so very kind of you to say that. I only started 4 years ago & a lot of my early photos were pretty rough. Just takes practice & finding your sweet spot with techniques that work best for you, as well as subjects that really motivate you. You'll get there but make sure you have fun!
