I did like how Costner stayed in the house during the Apache attack. Claustrophobic and intense.

Agreed! There’s a LOT of good stuff in there. Some fun, innovative shots (his character’s reflection in the horse trough when he’s stalking the younger brother made me actually say “whoa.” out loud). Great score.
