Also not going to lie, the last year has been particularly challenging for us as a family, involving several trips to hospital for a loved one's very concerning situation and other shenanigans I can't talk about but which have taken a toll on mental health and finances. Subscribing would help both.

K1 also made off with the little leaflet on Windsor and newton's professional line and is busy ticking the ones he wants (Opera Rose and Windsor Green, apparently. Can't fault his taste, I find this kind of tealish green hard to mix--I personally have Viridian)

Got 100% coldpressed cotton paper and gotta say I, too, have expensive taste in watercolour paper 🤣 (K1 has an instinct for the expensive paintbrushes. Got him some of the cheap ones and lent him some of my nice ones, the nice ones are his now; he says they're much less frustrating to handle)

It's a bit bulky that's the problem (my water cups are foldable so I can pack everything away when I'm done painting, as I don't have a dedicated studio space. Just a floor)
