Yeah- it’s a really hard argument to make that I’m totally currently fit to be president but not to run for it. It could have been gracefully done a year ago sort of pre-primaries like 4 years is enough thank you- now- not so much.

Yesterday we watched Oppenheimer (which was so good and interesting) and Asteroid City (which was a parody of a parody of a Wes Anderson film and definite dream fodder). Not the 4th of July I had planned- but I’ll accept it.

Still sick but got to wake up to an aggressive text from my mom re how dare I not call her on the 4th and when I responded with I’m sick, the cat freaks out with fireworks, and you too can call/text the response was I should call text/first.

Feeling a bit under the weather for the 4th. (Not COVID- took an at home test- so summer cold I guess from traveling and events.) But between that and a couple other mishaps this is not the glamourous lay out by the pool day I was hoping for. I guess it’s good we didn’t have any real plans at least.

Unfotunately because it was such a discounted sale they are non-returnable or exchangeable. So there goes $170. Add that to the replacement wear to court heels I bought that were supposed to be super comfortable and are not and it has not been a good personal purchase month.

Ordered a pair of work pants that were on a heavily discounted sale and they are just way too small. I thought I did the US to EU size conversion right and have ordered from Marimekko before, but always looser fitting items...

I was all just like he seems like every octogenarian boss I’ve ever had, but if she sees another Dianne Feinstein in the making, what do we do now? Does he not run? Does he step down as President? I don’t see either happening.

Eating outside at a cafe and some asshole backed up a vintage car with two different displayed license plates into a parking spot outside (badly after three attempts) and then left the motor running while he and his date went inside to order food. And it’s noisy and smells like exhaust.

They don’t think a woman- let alone a woman of color- can win over swing voters who didn’t vote for HRC. Honestly, I would rather have Biden scrape out a win and her take over before the end of the term so people could see a woman can do the job and well then switch her or anyone else in last minute

Did a full 40+ minutes of yoga this morning versus my usual 20+. Feeling unable to control a lot of things in my life right now and having weird confidence issues with random parts of my body so it felt so good to spend some extra time on the mat.
