It's hard to write clever/fleshed out/relatable/realistic characters when your feelings towards them are, at best, a low-grade loathing coupled with a miasma of condescending disrespect. 🤷♀️

Like there are numerous quite funny scenes in which men talk to each other & the writing & direction & comedic timing are all sharp & on point, & then two women are in frame & the show becomes a facile cartoon I’ve been instructed to brace for the moment a student appears in a speaking role
