TW: weight loss, doctors, and fat phobia I am 172 CM and I was advised to lose at least 10 lbs at every weight. I’d be 150 and told to be 140. 140 and told to be 130. WTF. Never told WHY or how it impacts my health. Just told to do it. Which makes me very reluctant to listen to doctors.

Doctors are idiots when it comes to weight--especially for women. The number of "if you'd just lose weight" horror stories I've heard is way too high.
