Yeah, when I saw it on menus as a kid I was hesitant to try it. As an adult I tried it, and it's so good! I like other pizza toppings, too, but I will not turn down pineapple!

What's funny to me is that in my culture when I was young, Hawaiian pizza was seen as the "kid" flavor. Like, oh, we're getting pizza for this big multi-family event, get enough Hawaiian for the kids, then pepperoni and stuff with veggies or plain cheese for adults.

See, my favorite topping combo is mushrooms, olives, and pepperoni. I just can't imagine pineapple going well with that, so it's not something I'm eager to try. But if others like it, lovely. FFS, the dish came about in the first place when Italians added a weird new fruit to flatbread and cheese.
