Oh, thanks NYT and other media, too, for covering every Hillary story as if it were hugely significant and damning, while breezing over Trump stories like, "Eh, NBD." Great to see you've learned from that mistake!
Wait, I'm being informed they have not, in fact, learned from that mistake.

Thanks, Comey! It turns out if you make a totally unnecessary ass-covering announcement about a separate cache of e-mails you've actually already seen less than two weeks before the election, it just might affect the outcome! Gee, whoda thunk?

It can be both, though, I think. It might have been covered with little fanfare years ago, but that means it's still new information for a lot of people, and if there's some event that warrants bringing it forward again, I say go for it.

The discourse around biden needing more sleep is fully insane. Does no one remember "Executive Time," the thing Trump spent the majority(!) of his schedule on where he would just watch TV and tweet? Dude was categorically unable to fulfill any of the demands of the office and the press barely cared

Ugh. I never subscribed, but I used to have respect for it as a publication. I wish I could remember the exact article I read that made me realize it no longer deserved it, if it ever had; it was something to do with education, and it was flagrantly biased, while pretending to objectivity.

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of âBiden Oldâ and âRich Dems Worriedâ above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. Crazy-making shit.

A friend of mine was tut tutting about it, but yeah, it's a comfort food movie, and I like a well made comfort food movie now and then, especially in these parlous times. Everything doesn't have to be Fellini, ffs.

Or worse, when you pretend not to know. Come on, how could anyone calling themselves a journalist have no awareness of that? I know about it, and I'm just a schmo on the Internet.

For me itâs not that Iâm either ok or not ok with Biden as a candidate itâs that my brain cannot rationalize that the media has so uniformly freaked out about him while remaining comparatively serene about all the other far worse stuff in the past two weeks.

Lol. I have absolutely failed the "increasing income --> more conservative" pipeline, although that has as much to do with American conservatism becoming more (overtly) fascist as anything else.

Not to be corny but I do think the ongoing aspiration to make America a pluralist democracy of equals is righteous, beautiful, and worth honoring, even if it has more often been the struggle of minorities & dissenters than the policy of the government. đșđž
