this is far from a new sentiment, but i think the way we consume art now really hinders our appreciation of it and it’s such a shame sometimes. your choices and improvements become obvious with a bit of inspection but i get why people would prefer the high-contrast one on a quick scroll by.

It's so true 😢 It's exactly what we're seeing with AI art too. It looks nice and shiny, but doesn't hold up to scrutiny, but people don't notice the 7 fingers on each hand because they don't even pause to look at it.
