Yeah, I adopted that for my last attempt. Everything just takes more effort than I feel is appropriate. I never use splits, so maybe that's the unlock that is attractive to folks?

hmm i'm surprised you don't find them useful? i use them even for simple stuff like "run `cargo watch check` in the background at the same time as i make edits"

Split panes helps when debugging a complex issue that requires cross-referencing multiple terminal sessions, like k8s pod logs + node view + k9s searches + nsenter for network issues, etc
