I'll usually pop open additional windows and tile them for those cases, but I agree workflows are very subjective to how you prefer to maintain context.

My terminal real estate is usually dedicated to two vertical splits in nvim, so other long-running buffers are in a different terminal tabs. The context switching of `:w<ctrl+tab>` isn't jarring for most use-cases. For things that on a hotter path (like tests), I'll use an nvim terminal buffer.
