If Private health insurance companies have to exist, the compromise must be that anyone who profits directly from how well the company is doing must spend at least as long as the average doctor does fighting with them a day taking calls from the people who are forced to pay for their awful service.

So it's been a while but human evolution is a special interest of mine and I'm pretty sure I've read that biologists believe human intelligence has effectively peaked. If our brains get any bigger, we'll actually get dumber because neurons can only fire so fast.

I feel like this is a very prevelant belief. I was a teacher for a lot of years and the idea seems to be having a passion for your career means you shouldn't also have be fairly compensated. Yeah, I loved working with kids. But I would have stopped showing up if they'd stop paying me.
