#writing. I've just finished what feels like the 1,000 edit of my #fantasy romance, Horselords. I'm currently reading it through for what I hope is the final time. I can nearly quote it verbatim! Then I hope to send it to my editor this week.

Once, it was suggested that we had a theme for, say, a week, in school. I taught in secondary school in the UK. The idea was that every subject (as far as possible) would teach their subject through the theme. It didn't happen because of the National Curriculum.

Great idea, but my characters are all from a fantasy, medieval world, or from Roman or Viking Britain. I'm unsure how this would work with this idea.

I like dandelions. The flowers are like little suns. If they were from foreign climes, I reckon they'd be sold in garden centres.

Good point. They probably don't know about us. I didn't until an online friend mentioned it. I suppose we should spread it, but we don't want the Twitter trolls here, or we're no better than them.

Same with writers. The market is already being flooded with inferior books produced by AI, which has been taught by pirating 'real' author's work. But AI will learn, and become better. However, it's not 'real' intelligence.

It is. I found, posted right at the top of my feed, an unpleasant argument between three people. I couldn't find any way to report it, but commented generally. No replies from anyone condemning it or accepting. I blocked the people (not in my contacts, anyway) but think they should be expelled.

I've just watched Man U vs Man City. Foden scored twice for City. His celebration was of shooting a gun. I was disgusted by this, with all the killing going on in the world. Yes, his nickname is 'The Sniper' because he shoots at the goal on sight. But that is no excuse. Not all know that.

I agree. We looked into the cost of getting from Gatwick to Wrexham in North Wales. It was much cheaper to fly to Manchester and then the train to Wrexham than get the train and change stations in London.

I also playa game with sports team names. The names are abbreviated to two or three letters in the score line. I run them together and see what comes up. Eg. Chelsea (Che) vs Manchester United (MU) would be Chemu. I've not used any of these--yet!

You can start a website and post on there. I use Wordpress. It's very easy to use and one of, if not the, biggest in the world. They have a free version. There are also sites such as Wattpad and Medium where you can publish stuff. I use Medium, but not very regularly, I'm afraid.

I just opened Bluesky and found myself reading a nasty trolling thread by computer says no and two others. I joined because I understood that this was to be a 'nicer' platform, and that people had joined to escape the trolling on X. I can't remember who the other two are.
