Having a weekly max for last minute + urgent requests was key. I first tried to set a zoom limit without allowing for those types of asks, and didn't meet my goal even one week. Last year, I went 15% urgent/85% pre-planned and met my goal ~half the time. This year I'm going to shift that to 30/70.

Had a monthly meeting with my Dept/Team leader today and we agreed that I should block out in the diary stuff we both agree I *should* be doing but which isn't necessarily on the Team radar for stuff which other Depts *think* we should be doing, just so we're not wholly driven by their expectations.
