Interesting - 🙏James! I use GitHub co-pilot now all the time - it feels like it actually knows me as it's learnt so much about how I code from my whole repository. But you're right that it is also learning from all of the other GitHub users and it's unclear who has consented to that.

Those traditional off-limits works you listed would once also once have fairly been described as collaborative, shared industries, each song & story building on the work of others. It's only relatively recently that these things get packaged up. Software development is a similar creative process.
