I’ve heard the turnout thing a lot but don’t forget it’s an average. We had a once-in-a-century opportunity to overturn the con stranglehold here and we did it with 70% turnout. If you give people a reason to vote, they’ll vote.

The Tories have always done their 'collalition-building' behind closed doors, whereas the left split in public. It's why we've tended to have tory gov't on a substantial minority of the popular vote. If they want to cry about it, some of us have been banging on about PR for decades :D

They've worked hard on what went wrong in coalition, in the what-are-we-for sense rather than the navel-gazing sense. Proud to say that one of my friends is amongst this new 2024 Lib Dem intake, he worked damn hard for it and will be an amazing MP.
