The actual wording is, "Delegates elected to the national convention pledged to a presidential candidate shall in all good conscience reflect the sentiments of those who elected them". So it's morally binding (?) but not legally binding

Here's what it normally means in practice: Nothing. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202... The wording was added at some historical moment for typical Dem reasons--respect for liberty of conscience blah blah--but the party selects delegates for predictability.
