I really like devotion as a spiritual practice. The act of giving ourselves, our attention, our love, and our learning to a practice and to the people in our lives, is powerful. It makes for a conscious life of adventure and connection.

It's a good week. Elise Youssoufian and Roger Foreman did awesome on their Aiki Arts Center promotions and we are getting ready for Ronn - 3rd kyu and November - 3rd kyu in the next few weeks. I'm at The Bar Method a lot, and we are getting sales at SCS Global Services.

It's a basic principle of aikido that there is always a path forward, that includes care and points towards progress.

The cool thing about habit development is that actions that used to feel contrary to our wants eventually become things we crave, and that includes healthy choices like exercise or swapping in blueberries for cake as dessert.
