Intense to try to see everything as you have to drive between all the different sites and re-park, etc. It is a marvel and yet I still had some "how many geysers can one look at?" moments during long days. I think Mammoth Hot Springs and Grand Prismatic Spring get a lot of hype are WELL WORTH it.

It is so incredible. You think you know what to expect after 8 million documentaries but it is unbelievable how expansive it is. I wish we could have timed it for spring to see baby buffalo. We went at a slower tourist time which made traffic/parking better, but more hidden wildlife.

I love my weighted blanket. I love that it has a cover. Untying and retying all the attachment points every time I wash the cover is brutal* *annoying 10 minutes of putzing

It's always once the object is in the oven that I realize I messed up the recipe. Always. Shrugging my shoulders on this one and hoping banana bread is forgiving enough. I'm so rusty at baking and should have known better than to wing it.

We got very close to everything, but the iguanas freaked me out because they sprayed salty snot and there were SO MANY. My mom is the fancy photographer for all closeups. We combined photos at the end but the rest of us just had point and shoot cameras (film!).

I had to make rules that bait is not allowed in any fridge or beverage cooler. We have washable ice packs/coolers only. (Seriously I only have to deal with it a small time of the year but life got so much better with rules about separate bait coolers.)

It has been a WILD ride of test driving a million vehicles in 10 days and spreadsheeting out my ears. So the dealership has a Pop The Trunk promotion where you get 40 2liters of soda with every purchase. I have a vehicle. I have soda. Now I drink.

I have test drove 15 vehicles in 3 days and my phone is EXPLODING with followup. If I get a Nicole text because they have my license in the system, that's not very good sales notes. (And yes I realize it is probably safer than Nikki/Nicki/Nickie/Nicky choices. Still annoyed.)

Impressive! I longed to do this but never had long enough hair - When I did have long hair I attempted... twice. Realized I do not have the stamina to have my arms move in the direction needed to do this. (I also struggle with dutch braiding because muscle memory always reverts to french)

BIL/SIL are pulling our oldest niece out for the last week of school so we can go to the lake. I am so excited to have a week with them but so bummed H is missing her last week of kindergarten/party/etc. (She is conflicted as well, but being a good trooper for the family)

J has been tearing shit up and re-routing plumbing and gas lines in the basement. I'm very grateful to shower at home again, but we leave for cabin on Saturday and I haven't been able to do laundry in a month.

My progressives took about a month/just over to adjust. The first week I had to take MANY breaks. I did not feel comfortable driving with them for about 2 weeks. I can still be fine, get through the day, not wearing any glasses, but it is noticeable/bothersome now. (I got my glasses in early Jan)

Yes this is what I did with my progressives as well (1st pair of glasses as an adult!) I have a special use FSA that can ONLY be used for vision or dental and had money to spend or lose. This helped me swallow that price but JEEPERS. (My childhood reading glasses were free with ins, limited frames)
