The absolute BEST case scenario is that nothing bad happens, but every out queer competitor and guest spends the entire trip anxious about being arrested or fined because of an essential aspect of themselves. Sonicfox has already said that if the rumors are true, then they probably won't attend.

Judging from my takeaways of the few interviews with rallygoers I've been able to stomach... most of them are just there to be there. It's not just that. It's that all of this feels so inescapable. I could accept that I and my friends will probably struggle for 20 yrs to see a world where these regs and human rights get put back in place, but to know that a decade after THAT, these same rich assholes could just undo it again.

Unfortunately, I don't think we have a choice in the matter. Even if the deniers aren't a majority (which I'm pretty sure they aren't, just loud) the message from the White House is "it's over, go back to normal, act like nothing happened" which is.... less than helpful.
