When I was out 16 years ago it was much worse. Knowledge of trans people was scarce. Even though I won the lottery and kept a loving family through everything, nobody knew how to really help me. I wish you the best in your journey. You have more support on the Internet than I could've ever wished

i came out … to myself about 14 years ago. and to a couple of friends. but i wasn’t OUT out until much later. all my queer community is (and has been) essentially online. even with transitioning medically for the last more than 7+ years. and presentation-wise for just over a decade.
