Yeah. Where I lived, there was no support network. There was an LGBT center but it was mostly gay kids. I met some trans people but they were 30+ years older than me. I didn't meet someone like us my age for ages. It's a lonely journey sometimes, isn't it?

But I will not make light of your struggle. I had women in life who taught me how to shop for clothes. I had a drag mom who taught me makeup and where to find breast forms (they called them chicken cutlets!) Now we have all the tutorials in the world. But we can't replace having those connections.

When I was out 16 years ago it was much worse. Knowledge of trans people was scarce. Even though I won the lottery and kept a loving family through everything, nobody knew how to really help me. I wish you the best in your journey. You have more support on the Internet than I could've ever wished

#MaleLoneliness sure is a popular topic lately. If a guy in my life is lonely and needs help, I trust him to tell me because he knows I would help.
