By far the weirdest thing that has happened to us since moving to the UK is discovering that Nando's is not some shitty fast food joint but it's in fact a proper restaurant with good food. We went in as a joke, but were shocked with the high quality food and bottomless drinks.

Diane Abbott fought through all of the Labour toxicity to take her seat with 60% of the vote. Maybe she should've done a Corbyn and run as an Independent, because that's not a Labour seat, it's an Abbott seat. Oh to be blessed with the strength of character and will of that woman.

Remember, for all Labour's crowing about their new way and their changing the party for the better - they got fewer votes than Corbyn did in either election. Corbyn represented a Labour with values people could get behind. Starmer represents "not-Tories" which is no basis of government.

Our Green candidate, Iris Duane, did incredibly well in Glasgow North, coming in third and hoovering up more votes than almost all below her combined. She had one of the best showings of the Greens in the whole of Scotland with a fantastic result that paves the way for a lot more in the future!
