Copilot cited Lou Dobbs’ blog, which cited an unsourced tweet. ChatGPT cited @katiecouric and UPI, but neither of those articles contained the misinformation it attributed to them.

Both programs regurgitated the misinformation and the conspiracy theory that a delay would be used to edit footage.

The narrative that the suspect is trans is spreading, but this is all based on the pronoun field on Instagram, which many people oftentimes treat unseriously. On the suspect's business website, they used a photo that was posted to Instagram on April 26 and used he pronouns.

it’s worth pointing out because oftentimes I see good faith attempts to push back on perceived miscarriages of justice, but without the right tools, that frequently comes off as ineffective or biased. These types of investigations are the perfect vehicle for those challenges.

I met Mason’s mom Jennie at January’s Big Tech hearing, where she was protesting. She brought Mason’s phone. When she opened TikTok to show me what he watched, I was stunned. Years after his death, graphic videos describing the method Mason used were still up and viewable.

Between 2012 and today, black and hispanic listener percentages both increased by 1 percent. Not a ringing endorsement of diversity efforts, but the growth undermines the point Berliner is trying to make. NPR actually has been attracting more diverse audiences by some metrics.
