This is kind of a personal hobbyhorse of mine so I apologize if you've heard me say this before but stuff like the Dukakis tank and Dean scream I think can be attributed to Republicans who own the media just replaying this shit over and over and telling us all how to feel about it.

The Dean Scream was so dumb because a) he wasn’t screaming and b) he just listed some states and said he was going to win them. Pretty tame stuff then, but especially by today’s standards. Our politics is so dumb.

Something I have heard said about Murdoch media outlets is that he never tells the editors what to run, he appoints editors who wouldn’t be there if they didn’t know what he wants them to run
