I suspect some of it is also based on who you follow or who follows you. I'm on a block list for posting about politics too much with a bunch of people I do not know.

Out of curiosity, I checked to see if I was on any block lists. And I’m on one, that’s only used by the person who created it. There’s no explanation for the list other than “test” but at a glance it seems to mostly block the furry community, which I’m not a part of, but I have mutuals that are.
