It was fantastic hearing the many articulate, passionate speakers against this book ban at the council meeting last night, including several members of the council. So glad this ignorant homophobic dog-whistling bigotry got overturned. May book bans never raise their ugly head in Australia again.

Sadly the councillor has achieved his main objective, to stir up trouble. Guarantee that books in Cumberland libraries will be defaced over the coming weeks.
