Geeze, can you even reform those old capacitors without an explosion? Is the xenon flashtube viable, or is it poisoned? Etcetera, etcetera...

To be clear, spokes from the flange offset by two holes at the rim. Meaning, the lacing pattern is offset by one hole at the flange.

Here's a subtle one: Radial spokes should alternate exactly as the holes alternate. Instead, this wheel has spokes from one flange offset by two holes, so that the hub is being twisted by the spoke tension--and the pattern isn't radial. #BR

Ironically, while the Mavica FD-75 can focus very close, I like the look when shooting flowers using the longest focal length, where I can get at least a little bokeh. Underexposing helps the colors a little.

I never understood its design where the heads were in constant contact with the floppy-disk media, while it was spun for very long periods of time even without disk access. Those drives got HOT, too.

Shitty Rollei A110, Kodachrome 64, "digitized" by holding mounted slide up to Mavica FD-75 lens, which, as we know, focuses crazy close.
#ShittyCameraChallenge
Yes, Kodak used to make KR-110, and even develop and mount in 2x2 slides!

But the Mavica is so much fun to use--People are like WHAT IS THAT? I think the Mavica handles very much like a camcoder and the shutter lag is nearly non-existent. I'm certain it shares a lot of DNA with them, as well as using an actual camcorder battery!

Mavica FD-75 close-focus shenanigans: I pressed the Mavica's lens bezel flush against the LCD display of the shitty DMC-ZS5 that took its portrait earlier.

The shitty Mavic FD-75 doesn't even have a "macro" mode--because its lens can focus at almost any distance, including Really Very Close. #ShittyCameraChallenge

Meh. Back in the days of Windows 3.x, discovering the existence of the 'SPEAKER.DRV' sound driver was the Coolest Thing Ever for PCs (read: office computers that could only beep) that didn't have a sound card. Sometimes we'd prank someone by replacing the startup 'TADA.WAV' with the Imperial March.

Behold one of my pet peeves, the Lazy Mechanic's Trifecta.
1) Unevenly tightened nuts on binder bolt
2) Improperly engaged teeth on ratchet plates
3) Clamp not fully gripping seat pillar
Any one of these issues can lead to a loose saddle and eventually clamp failure.
