I’m reading a book about the Russian Revolution and the civil war that followed - the brutality described is unbelievable. The hatred and violence in that society, the things they did to each other seems to have become ingrained in Russian psyche.

This will be doubly awkward as the number of NOMINATIONS required for a candidate to make the Tory Leadership ballot ISN'T a percentage. It's a fixed number. 100 MPs. I'm sure it sounded reasonable at the time. Good luck getting 100 Tory MPs to agree on something when there are only 121 of them.

But think of all the letter headings, nameplates and other brand id they’ve spent a fortune on , so stick with it for now. For the Tories , levelling up was a load of bullshit , and at best a way to funnel money to under pressure Tory areas. It would never replace the EU development funds we lost.

Why would it matter if he had bad knees and mobility problems , if he also had a heart , had compassion for the people of his country, and had a good team around him, and was able to CONTINUE to govern effectively, and didn’t rob the state for his own and his family’s enrichment??
