Unexpected benefit of slapping this on our cargo bike is the number of theological discussions it has inspired with my 8 year old. “I know the Pink Pony Club is real, and Hell isn’t.” And “But the Pink Pony Club sounds like a place you would do a lot of sins.”

Moral struggle is a constant part of democracy. Fascism will always be appealing to some percentage of the population. Any philosophy that says “only My Class of People should have a say” will persist, because it’s easy to understand and appeals to the basest instincts. Ours is not to rest.

I learned more about what was in Arlington National Cemetery from Ingress than I did in the preceding 15 years of living a couple of miles from it. (Obvs my fault, but still.) Related: is there a piece out somewhere that talks about the translation of Ingress portals to Pokemon gyms?
