Huge same. Starting to wonder if it's smart at all to spend money on trying to fix my car or if I should just try to save up as much money as possible for when/if Canada opens up for American LGBT refugees...

Like, if I fix the Beetle I can take more of my things with me and I won't be stuck at the mercy of Greyhound or Amtrak... Maps says it's about an 11 hour drive to the nearest Canadian border in New York so if I *need* I can maybe take the backroads and be there in a week?
