This is the very center of the city. And there are plenty of such empty spaces in the centers of North American cities. And there could be shops, low-rise houses, playgrounds. But no. #yeg

Makes sense. Nevertheless the movie is good for adults as well as kids. The first movie was a bit better but the second one is also great.

Yesterday we watched Inside Out 2. The first one came out in 2015. The movie's just as good! It’s been years since I saw anything in 3D. While the big screen is awesome, the noisy neighbors, phone lights, and chattering were annoying. #InsideOut2 #MovieNight #3DExperience #CinemaEtiquette #Nostalgia

Checked out #Aniara yesterday. It's a cool concept: a ship runs off course to Mars, passengers struggling with their new reality. But the execution is kinda poor. It’s one of those stories better made into a show to unwrap the idea fully. Maybe the book is better.

I am walking on the thick grass next to the water and I can't see almost any bugs or grasshoppers. My eyes were able to catch a couple of butterflies and a couple of small flies on a plot of 300 meters. Where are all the insects?

The anticipated right shift didn't occur this time, but is likely to happen in the next cycle. Values are being replaced by interests. Post-war coalitions of the Center-Right with the Center-Left are giving way to pre-war alliances of the Right with the Ultra-Right. The Kremlin welcomes this.

This “lake” was constructed by humans to serve as a reservoir for spring runoff and melted snow. While it is not for recreational purposes, the scenery remains quite pleasant. Ducklings can often be spotted swimming in here, adding a delightful natural element to the surroundings.

While walking during my lunch break, a navy blue Lada Niva drove past me. I've seen Lada Niva vehicles in #Edmonton a few times, but it still surprises me every time how frequently I randomly come across them in different parts of the city.

Why do we need a Pride Month in Canada?

Since 1969, 🇨🇦no longer jails people for life for being gay and since 2005 gay marriage is legal

But LGBTQ hate crimes are increasing.

On this long road to decency, we still have a ways to go.

Just watched the mini-series #AGentlemanInMoscow based on Towles' book. The story is fantastical, almost like a Christmas tale if the Grinch had stolen Christmas. It's about a man preserving himself and helping others in terrible times. An emotional rollercoaster. Highly recommend it! #tvshows

I haven't finished reading "The Insect Crisis: The Fall of the Tiny Empires That Run the World" yet, but I already want everyone to read it. The book is full of horrific data on a sharp decline in the number of insects. For instance, in Europe, the number of butterflies halved from 1999 to 2011.
