The large-scale environment during the heart of #HurricaneSeason (Aug-Sep-Oct) still looks ominous in the June update of the NMME (multi-model ensemble). We see -SST anomalies in the ENSO regions, hefty +SST anomalies in the tropical Atlantic, and deep-tropics +rainfall anomaly.

I wish the NMME team provided more output fields needed to compute vertical wind shear, stability, and relative vorticity at 850hPa.
