I’m convinced my grandfather’s “brain surgery” in the late 40s was a lobotomy. He was “okay”afterwards, but couldn’t think as quickly or brilliantly as before. He sunk into depression and ended himself. Dad was 15. Left a giant gaping hole in the family. My dad, late 80s, still isn’t over it.
