I'm *kind of* OK with them on lighter-colored BMWs (white, silver, etc), but with darker color they're an absolute no-go. Best is chrome surround with black slats. Classic.

I hate it in every instance. (even if it's from factory, it's likely from a generation I hate) The most maddening is on E39 M5s, where it is extremely common to have black kidneys and chrome/silver *brake ducts*! What are we doing here?? Zero taste and zero self-awareness
